A Vacancy has arisen at the SWALEC Stadium to join our in house Security Team.

Applicants will need to possess a current and up to date SIA qualification and be willing to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and a secure Stadium.

The majority of the shifts will be night and weekend based and there may be opportunities to work on match days and at other events.

Conference & Banqueting

The SWALEC stadium is the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club and we are looking to recruit Retail Bar staff and Hospitality Box Waiting staff to join the Hospitality and Events department. All applicants must be at least 18 years old due to serving alcohol.

Hospitality Box Waiters Staff

Salary: £competitive hourly rate
Role: Casual
Hours of work: Variable (generally match days but other work is available)
Location: SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff, CF11 9XR

Our Hospitality Boxes are very busy on match days, so Box Waiting experience or working in a VIP or client led environment is very desirable. However, a positive can do attitude and a confident personality is essential. Applicants must be efficient and must be able to work well under pressure serving our high profile guests.

The purpose of the job is to serve our customers predominately on match days but other plate waiting work will be available. You must prioritise on providing excellent customer service whilst having a clear focus on accuracy and you must have the confidence to interact with clients where appropriate to ensure that the overall customer experience you provide is outstanding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serving and interacting professionally with high profile guests and customers.
• Work efficiently, effectively and courteously with all customers at all times.
• During service, duties include; greeting guests, delivering food, serving drinks, clearing tables and setting up for the following service.
• Able to work independently without direct supervision following set guidelines.
• Stock taking of products in your box.
• Familiarise yourself with menus, special requirements record changes to service and update paperwork.
• To ensure health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures are followed at all times.
• Check in and out of the shifts punctually whilst adhering to company uniform policy.
• Undertake any other duties deemed reasonable by the Box Supervisor.

All staff are expected to have:
• The highest standard of personal presentation at all times.
• Customer and client awareness.
• Great customer service skills.
• Self-composure and confidence.
• A hard working attitude and be prepared for a challenge.

Retail Bar Staff

Salary: £6.35 Hourly Rate
Role: Casual
Hours of work: Variable (generally match days but other work is available)
Location: SWALEC Stadium, Cardiff, CF11 9XR

Our public bars are very busy areas on match days, so experience is highly desirable although a great attitude and personality are essential. Applicants must also be efficient and are able to work well under pressure.

The purpose of the job is to serve our customers predominately on match days. You must have a clear focus on providing excellent customer service whilst being able to work as a part of a team to ensure that the overall customer experience is optimised whilst high standards are achieved in the delivery beverage services at SWALEC stadium.

This job is ideal for those who are either looking for an opening to get into the events industry, students or for those who are looking to earn a little extra money in their spare time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serving and interacting with customers.
• Deal efficiently, effectively and courteously with all customers at all times.
• To ensure health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures are followed at all times.
• Minimise wastage of products.
• Check in and out of the shifts punctually whilst adhering to company uniform policy.
• Make sure the bar area is kept clean at all times.
• To operate an electronic till and handle cash accurately and in a responsible manner.
• Advise customers on product of sale.
• To ensure all equipment is left clean and in working order, to report any faults to the Team Leader.
• To assist in stock taking.
• To assist in cashing up procedures
• Undertake any other duties deemed reasonable by the Team Leader or Retail Supervisor.
